England's crop of Nike players have given us an ahead-of-schedule look at Nike's next drop of colourways. Internationals including Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Ashley Cole and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were seen giving their new boots a run-out as England began preparations for the international break.
Colour updates for the Mercurial, CTR360, Tiempo and T90 all form part of Nike's Spring '13 collection, set to launch in April. Although we could see the boots on pitch as early as this Friday, when England travel to San Marino for their 2014 World Cup Qualifying match.
Roy Hodgson's England squad gathered for training this morning for their first session ahead of this Friday's World Cup 2014 qualifier against San Marino. As new kit suppliers to the England Football Association, Nike made sure each of their internationals arrived at St. George's Park to find their new footwear in the boot room!
On the feet of Manchester United duo Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck were the upcoming additions to the T90 and Mercurial collections. The T90 colourway - officially titled Mango/Black/Crimson - follows the same bold, two colour style of recent Laser IV releases. Nike's fourth Vapor IX colourway - named Blue/Volt/Blue - is another dynamic design that could only belong to the Mercurial family!
For the CTR360 and Tiempo Nike have really delivered! Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Glen Johnson, Joleon Lescott and Ashley Cole were the lucky recipients. The CTR360 - labelled Mint/Black/Lime - will have a lot of CTR360 fans smiling, while the Tiempo colourway - named Sunburst/White/Crimson - is a bold statement for Nike's heritage line
The lucky England lads might already have their new boots, but expect these to go on sale from early April. If the thought of England taking on the international might of San Marino didn't already have you excited, now you have an added reason to tune in! Nike's new colourways are at the ready.
