As the new year approaches, Nike are unleashing a host of colour updates across their boot ranges to get the 'Swoosh' noticed. None more so than these new Volt Nike T90 Laser IV's, a bright and amplified colour which is sure to make an impression.
Touted as the most technologically advanced control and accuracy sports footwear, the Nike T90 Laser IV football boots incorporate a uniquely configured shoot and swerve zone, along with an upper treated with All Conditions Control (ACC) technology.
Described by Nike as the 'ultimate strikers boot', and accentuated by probably the most outrageous paintwork we've seen on a T90, the boots will need confident and accurate wearers stepping onto the pitch. We can expect to see this new eccentric look on pitches across the globe, and sported in the new year by the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robert Lewandowski, Wesley Sneijder, Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Gonzalo Higuain.
Performance is enhanced by Nike's All Conditions Control (ACC), to ensure the surface of the boot upper delivers consistent friction between boot and ball in wet weather conditions, allowing the player an assured touch similar to the feel of the ball in dry conditions. A design innovation shared across all Nike boots including Mercurial Vapor VIII, Tiempo Legend IV andCTR360 Maestri III.
Featuring a streamlined silhouette for enhanced fit and feel, accuracy comes from the reconfigured shoot and swerve zones on the instep of the boot. This addition to the upper flexes naturally as the foot connects with the ball, to enhance a cleaner strike through the texture, material and strategically placed fins.
The all black outsole is a great look and great compliment to the Volt upper. The TPU plate was remodelled for the Laser IV with bladed studs for ground penetration, traction and pressure dispersion. The blade configuration is one of the consistencies running through the T90 IV range, and filters down through the Laser, Strike and Shoot.
The Volt/Black/Citron T90 Laser IV football boots are available to pre-order now, but you'll have to wait till the new year to receive a pair, as the boots aren't expected to be dispatched until January 1st. Fitted with 'accuracy' technology, enhanced with ACC treatment, and decorated with a flash new paint job, these new Lasers are expected to retail worldwide for around £150 GBP / €165 EURO / $210 USD for the firm ground versions, and a little more for the soft ground pro-plate.
