There's a new T90 in town. Nike have landed what could go on to become one of the most popular colourways in the Laser IV range - the new Soar/Black/Silver Nike T90 Laser IV football boots. Sporting a catching bright blue upper, the latest creation from Nike's design studios might be just what Fernando Torres needs to recapture some goal-scoring form!
Nike may not have told Nando directly, but we're sure they're hoping the Chelsea striker can begin to reach the same heights than previously saw him become one of the lead faces for the T90 range! Take a look at Nike's latest release and let us know what you think online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
The new Soar/Black/Silver colourway can't do any more harm to Torres' goal scoring form and will certainly be a better fit to Chelsea's home colours. And after all, Nike have put him in red boots for the majority of this season! Torres has always been a fan of leather boots and since the introduction of the Kanga-Lite T90, has moved into Nike's lighter and more advanced alternative.
The Total 90 Laser range has always been divided between those players who prefer a synthetic upper, such as Wayne Rooney, and those who prefer to wear leather, like Fernando Torres. But so confident are Nike in the performance of their synthetic Kanga-Lite material, that they've substituted it in to replace the Kangaroo leather.
From the early days of the first T90 Laser, Nike's T90 Laser boot has fast become a key weapon for some of Europe’s highest profile players. Wayne Rooney, Wesley Sneijder and Rio Ferdinand all headline a a player roster that highlights the boots versatility. As the T90 continues to evolve, Nike are starting to position the boot as a strikers choice with goal-scorers including Alexandre Pato switching to the boots.
The new TPU stud arrangement combines with toe and heel secondary traction. This design allows for superior structural reinforcement and traction on wet and soft ground pitches. A moulded-EVA sock-liner provides the necessary work required to reduce stud pressure and increase on-field comfort. As well as cushioning and support, the moulded-EVA sock-liner also provides the boots with a contoured arch and heel support.
Each evolution of the Nike T90 range has seen unique design enhancements to the boots signature feature. The new Nike T90 Laser IV adaptive shot shield technology is divided into 'Power' and 'Swerve' zones. Key contact zones are broken into strips surrounded by shape correcting foam, while Fins reduced in size and height offer a more powerful and natural ball feel.
If you're wondering when you're likely to see Fernando and co. in the latest Soar/Black/Silver Nike T90 Laser IV football boots, their on-pitch debut is expected to be next weekend where you'll see a host of new Nike shoes! The new blue design won't be transfered onto the synthetic alternative - something that reaffirms our thought that Nike were certainly thinking of their out-of-form Spanish striker!
The new Soar/Black/Silver Nike T90 Laser IV football boots will be available to pre-oder from Monday 19th March. If you wan't to bag a pair of Nike's latest T90 colourway, the bright blue boots will set you back around £140 GBP / $200 USD / €160 EURO.
The launch of the Soar/Black/Silver Nike T90 Laser IV football boots marks the beginning of a new roll-out for certain Nike silos.
