One of the most successful boots of the past year has a new colour-way! SoccerBible are excited to present the latest addition to the hugely popular Nike CTR360 range - the White/Black/Tour Yellow Nike CTR360 Maestri II Elite football boots!
Released as the second 'elite' edition of the CTR Maestri II range, this latest colour-way looks to be another great addition to Nike's second generation of CTR boots. Check out our gallery of exclusive SoccerBible images as we take you through Nike's newest football boots!
The result of extensive research and player testing, the new Nike CTR360 Maestri II Elite football boots feature lightweight construction, intricate engineering and carbon-enforced strength for superior performance.
With Cesc Fabregas being one of the lead players for the Nike CTR football boots, it was no surprise to see the launch colour-way fit perfectly with the Arsenal home colours. Looking at the new White/Black/Yellow colour-way, we cant help think this would tie in well with Arsenal's yellow away strip as well! It will be interesting to see if Arsenal's CTR wearers such as Cesc Fabregas and Jack Wilshere, choose to wear the new boot with their away kit!
The obvious feature that sets the Elite versions apart from the standard versions is the carbon fibre sole-plate which since it's introduction on the Mercurial SL football boots, have been a seemingly popular addition to Nike boots. There is certainly an extra 'cool' factor about the Nike Elite boots but the performance advantage remains open to debate. Either way, the black carbon-fibre sole plate undeniably looks the part!
One of the main features of the CTR 360 Maestri II football boots is the memory foam insert that is designed to give you exceptional control and optimal sensitivity on the ball. This unique feature offers the player a perfect balance between precision and speed. This zone is further enhanced by the asymmetrical lacing system expanding the ball control area.
As CTR360 fans will know, the new instep pads on the Maestri II boots have incorporated a combination of technology from the T90 Laser III and the CTR Maestri I. Split into two to cover a larger surface area, the new pads enhance ball control and boost distribution through an innovative fin structure.
The carbon fibre sole plate offers a better grip and guarantees lasting support and maximum lightness. Research shows that the average energy expenditure of an elite player is over 1,000 Kilo Calories per game for a 75kg player. Reducing the weight carried by players helps reduce the energy needed over the course of 90 minutes. By delivering a super-strong and lightweight carbon fibre plate, the new CTR360 Maestri II Elites are 19% lighter.
As this is an Elite series boots, there's no surprise the price is in the higher regions. If you're loving the new CTR 360 Maestri II Elite football boots as much as we are then start saving! They will retail for around £225 / $300 / €235 when they hit selected retails and Nike stores from April 1st.
