We can't wait to see Vapor fans' reaction to this brand new Black/Circuit Orange/Black colourway, so check out the SoccerBible's full and exclusive reveal for the new Nike Mercurial Vapor VI football boots...
The Nike Mercurial Vapor range of football boots has an army of loyal fans, but we think this new colourway could be set to divide opinion. The brand new Black/Orange Vapor VI's could either be the classic looking boot all Vapor fans have been waiting for, or they could receive a mixed reaction as they're not brightly coloured.
As these new Vapors are a colour-up nothing has changed on the tech front, from the original release Vapor VI. Meaning the boots still weigh-in at an impressive 230grams, and the upper of the Nike Mercurial Vapor VI football boots is still made from a Teijin synthetic material, engineered to conform to your foot's shape for ultimate comfort.
The re-engineered Nike Vapor VI upper is enhanced with specifically placed 'ball-control coating' on the lateral forefoot, to aid control of the ball at top speed. Although with the new colourway, it seems Nike aren't too concerned with a colourful pattern designed to help your team-mates find your feet!
A Vapor favourite returns in the form of the stretch-synthetic leather lace cover, to increase ball contact area for improved accuracy and touch. Whilst an internal heel counter helps lock down the foot during ball strike, plus providing a snug, secure fit.
A glass fibre chassis brings you closer to the new enhanced traction elements. The new technology includes direct injected studs, incorporating 8 cored-out studs to provide a dramatic 12% weight reduction whilst enhancing strength and durability.
Acceleration and sprinting is further enhanced by concentrated forefoot zonal spikes, inspired by tracks spikes to optimise grip at toe-off for an extra burst of speed, giving you an advantage over the opposition.
The brand new Nike Mercurial Vapor VI football boots are sure to cause a lot of debate with this classic colourway. We're looking forward to seeing a host of Vapor players taking to the pitch and wearing this next generation in the Mercurial series.
A new Vapor Traction II design, means the forefoot studs are shaped to offer multi-directional traction, with central arms for acceleration/deceleration and optimal sprint traction.
Nike designers created a Mercurial football boot that provides new levels of performance with nearly four years of game analysis, biomechanical studies and player testing.
The new Nike Vapor VI football boots will be available for pre-order today ahead of a 1st January release, and you can expect to pay around $240 USD / £180 GBP, and we'd love to hear your opinions...
