To match the contrasting black/orange colour combination of the new Nike Superfly II football boots, Nike have gone for an all over black boot with pops of bright green on the swoosh and sole. As it is just a colour-update from Nike, all the technology known within the Laser III boots remains the same.
After the latest Platinum/Orange Blaze/Black Laser colour-way proving a hit across Europe, these new additions to the T90 collection will appeal to those who want a darker more subtle boot for the remaining winter months.
The T90's have become famous for their stand out feature - the Laser Shot-shield - which feature black swerve fins that sit alongside the contrasting electric green pods. These instep pops are designed to be flat to your foot to create even pressure distribution when shooting the ball with accuracy, and their longitudinal and flexible design accommodates an enlarged kicking area.
The Nike T90 Laser III football boots feature a lightweight TPU out-sole with studs positioned to give the structural reinforcement and optimal traction. The boots also feature a redesigned heel counter which seeks to provide external lock of the heel.
The moulded sock-liner with Poron inserts provides the comfort and fit throughout the boot and the surface texture of the sock-liner and boot collar has been updated for optimal stickiness to protect your foot from slippage and rubbing.
The strategically angles and raised fins (which have now transferred over to the CTR360 range) are designed to create friction and increased ball spin for shooting and passing. Each fin is positioned at a different angle and a different height (0-3mm) to enable the player to control the swerve of the ball in multi-directional ways, depending on how the player kicks the ball.
We're looking forward to seeing what T90 wearers make the switch into this new colour-way. At the moment the main T90 colour-ways that are on show are the Red/Black/White boots and the Platinum/Black/Orange boots. Keep an eye out for players such as Wayne Rooney, Wesley Sneijder, Patrice Evra and Rio Ferdinand to get a glimpse of these new Laser III boots hitting the pitch!
These new Black/Electric Green T90 Laser III football boots will be available for pre-order from January 2011 from selected retailers and Nike stores. Like all previous Laser III models, these will set you back around 130 GBP a pair.
