If fans of the Nike Mercurial Vapor series were to choose one talisman to
champion their favourite football boots, undoubtedly that player would
be Cristiano Ronaldo. Cristiano is synonymous with speed, power and skill, combine that with a boot that delivers the fastest, most innovative and technologically advanced performance on the market, and you have a winning combination.
We should not forget of course, that before Superfly it was the Mercurial Vapor football boots that catapulted Cristiano Ronaldo to global
stardom, so it is only fitting the Vapor VI receives the Safari
makeover!
This new Safari colourway is expected to make a massive impact on
pitch, with Cristiano Ronaldo debuting his Safari football boots as
Real Madrid welcome fierce rivals Atletico Madrid to Santiago Bernabeu
on 7th November.
The Nike Mercurial Vapor range has an army of loyal fans, and for that
reason the SoccerBible is proud to provide you with full and exclusive
images of the latest release set to hit pitches...
Love it or hate it, the Nike Vapor VI Safari features the stretch-synthetic
leather lace cover [or shroud as Nike like to refer to it], designed to
increase ball contact area for improved accuracy and touch.
Tipping the scales at 230grams (US size 9), the Mercurial Vapor VI may not be the lightest boot on the market, but it will bring you up to pace with the modern game. This is thanks to the superior fit and speed traction outsole, combined with an internal heel counter that helps lock down the foot for a snug, secure fit.
A glass fibre chassis brings you closer to the new enhanced traction elements. The new technology includes direct injected studs, incorporating 8 cored-out studs to provide a dramatic 12% weight reduction whilst enhancing strength and durability. In the case of these Safari football boots, the direct-injected Orange studs are a great compliment to the Total Orange Nike Swoosh.
A new Vapor Traction II design, means the forefoot studs are shaped to
offer multi-directional traction, with central arms for
acceleration/deceleration and optimal sprint traction. Acceleration and sprinting is further enhanced by concentrated forefoot zonal spikes, inspired by tracks spikes to optimise grip at toe-off for an extra burst of speed, giving you an advantage over the opposition.
The brand new Nike Mercurial Vapor VI Safari football boots, are to-date the most audacious release in the much-loved Mercurial series. Available for pre-order from 28th October, expect to see these on the shelves around the 15th November, where they will set you back around $240 USD / £180 GBP.
