The SoccerBible is proud to bring you the brand new Nike
Mercurial Vapor VI football boots, with our exclusive gallery feature this is already a very highly anticipated boot
release!
The Nike
Mercurial Vapor range has an army of loyal fans, and
the SoccerBible to provide you with full and exclusive images of the
latest release for the Nike
Mercurial Vapor VI football boots - this Cherry/Obsidian/Silver
colour combination set to hit pitches this Fall.
With this being a colour-up release, nothing has changed in the tech front from the original release Vapor VI. That means the upper of the Nike Mercurial Vapor VI football boots is still made from Teijin synthetic material, which is engineered to conform
to your foot's shape for ultimate comfort. The re-engineered upper is
enhanced with specifically placed ball-control coating on the
lateral forefoot, to aid control of the ball at top speed, and the
unique colourway and pattern is designed to help your team-mates find
your feet!
The Vapor VI benefits from a stretch-synthetic leather
lace cover to increase ball contact area for improved accuracy
and touch, whilst an internal heel counter helps lock down the
foot for a snug, secure fit.
This new Cherry colourway is going to make a massive impact on pitch, not too far away from the column inches created when Nicklas Bendtner wore the last Pink Nike Mercurials way back in 2008. Tipping the scales at 230grams (US size 9), the Mercurial Vapor
VI will bring you up to pace with the modern game.
Love it or hate it, the Vapor VI featrues from a stretch-synthetic leather lace cover
[or shroud as Nike like to refer to it] designed to increase ball contact area for improved accuracy and touch, whilst
an internal heel counter helps lock down the foot for a snug,
secure fit.
Nike continue with the ecletic instep pattern, this time styled in a very contrasting silver colour. The Obsidian Swossh that sits on the boot also stands out, but sometimes we wish those direct-injected Orange studs would also be coloured to match the theme of the boot, but that's just personal preference!
A glass fibre chassis brings you closer to the new enhanced traction
elements. The new technology includes direct injected studs,
incorporating 8 cored-out studs to provide a dramatic 12% weight
reduction whilst enhancing strength and durability. A new Vapor
Traction II design, means the forefoot studs are shaped to offer
multidirectional traction, with central arms for
acceleration/deceleration and optimal sprint traction.
Acceleration and
sprinting is further enhanced by concentrated forefoot zonal spikes,
inspired by tracks spikes to optimise grip at toe-off for an extra
burst of speed, giving you an advantage over the opposition
The brand new Nike Mercurial Vapor VI football boots are sure to cause a
lot of debate in this exciting colour. We're looking forward to seeing a host of Vapor players taking to
the pitch, wearing this next generation in the Mercurial series. The new Nike Vapor VI football boots will be available for pre-order from today, 20th September 2010 in the US and 24th September 2010 in Europe.
Expect to see these on the shelves around the first week of October, where they will set you back around $240 USD / £180 GBP
