The Nike Mercurial Vapor V football boots have been developed with the help and feedback of some of the
world's top footballers including Cristiano Ronaldo, Alexandre Pato, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robinho
and Didier Drogba. So you know you are dealing with a boot range that has been designed and built to the highest standards!
Packed with a host of new technologies and design features, the Vapor V football boots deliver speed and performance through a variety of Nike innovations. One major feature is the Flywire technology, which fits snugly into a medial panel on the instep of the boot, and allows for more flexibility and adaptability to the wearer's foot, whilst providing extra support and strength to the boot.
The vibrant yellow upper is made from a Teijin synthetic material, which is a thin and lightweight material to give the wearer an excellent touch and feel for the ball. And the Teijin material is engineered to mould to the shape of the wearer's foot, improving fit and comfort.
At the front of the boot, and blending in brilliantly on these yellow editions, is Nike's "speed touch area" which enhances a players touch and
control of the ball at speed as it carries more grip. Boot-to-ball contact has also been taken into consideration with the lace cover, which uses a stretchy Daewoo synthetic material
to create a very clean striking area.
The vibrant yellow Mercurial Vapor V football boots weigh in at a mere 230grams (for a UK size 8) and are available in a firm ground and soft ground sole-plate. The studs on the firm ground versions are
made from direct injected TPU and are arranged in the now familiar speed
traction layout. Providing excellent traction and grip, beating opposition defenders with superior acceleration and movement is an area where the Vapor V football boots excel.
The Vibrant Yellow/Black/Gold colourway is complimented by a full series of take downs including Talaria, Steam and Veloci levels boots. Ideal if your budget doesn't stretch to a pro or elite level option, and you can still get the look and feel of the fastest boots around for a fraction of the price. Expect the Talaria's to retail around £75, Steams at £55 and Veloci series should be available for £40 (all GBP).
This new Vapor colourway is set to be an extremely popular choice, and could follow the pink colourway by becoming a Vapor classic! They are available to pre-order now ahead of a 7th January launch, and are expected to retail for around £130 GBP.
