Taking a fresh approach to a classic look; the third kit created by New Balance sees the return of the popular bold black design incorporating a gradient effect that is sure to make the kit stand out next season. Inserted breathable taping incorporating flashes of red and white have been engineered into the shoulder seams and collar ensuring the kit stays true to the heritage and prestige of the club. A lifestyle inspired polo collar with semi-concealed two-button placket and two-way reverse tipping allows wearers to customise how the collar is worn, whilst always promoting the club colours.
The goalkeeper shirt takes inspiration from the kit worn by Bruce Grobbelaar, during Liverpool FC’s European campaign in 1984-85. The iconic yellow colour is restored and enhanced with the latest in shirt technology featuring articulated elbow panels allowing for increased movement.
The main body of the home and away shirts are constructed with New Balance’s moisture wicking fabric, NB Dry, which helps keep the player cool on the pitch by releasing moisture away from the body, making it fast-drying. The kits are anatomically fitted to form around the player’s body shape for ease of movement. Mesh panelling under the arms helps airflow around the body and is crucial in keeping the players comfortable during games.
The last Liverpool shirt to be worn by Steven Gerrard, the team donned the kit in their final Premier League game of the season.
Both kits are available to purchase now via various stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer. Smart number? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
