Mizuno’s main man Keisuke Honda has been spotted testing the third generation Wave Ignitus 3. The Japanese brand has supplied their fellow countryman and CSKA Moscow midfielder with a pair of white-out boots to wear in training.
We’ve already sat down with Southampton defender Maya Yoshida to hear what he thought of his black out Ignitus 3 boots and now we’ve managed to get hold of some exclusive close up photos of Honda’s new footwear as Mizuno continue to receive feedback from their athletes ahead of the official launch.
Mizuno don’t just spit out new boots for the sake of it, they’ll take as much time as they need until they get it exactly right. It’s just over 2 years ago since the second Wave Ignitus was revealed, so that alone shows the amount of time and effort they put into the design of a boot.
What we love about the Ignitus is the trademark Mukaiten panel on the instep of the boot. The unique technology looks to have been given a revamp and is engineered to give the ball an unpredictable flight path with Mukaiten meaning ‘no spin’. As crisp as Honda’s white-out boots look, we’re intrigued to see what launch colourway Mizuno have got up their sleeves.
What are your first thoughts on the Mizuno Wave Ignitus 3 boots? We'll be giving them a full feature here on SoccerBible as soon as Mizuno give us the green light! Join in the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
