Mizuno turn on the style with the return of the ever-popular Morelia Neo. Back for its sixth colour-up in time for the summer season, the super-light leathers have been dressed in a vibrant Red/White/Blue colourway.
Launched back in November 2011, the Morelia Neo hasn't been the busiest of football boots on the calender. Instead, Mizuno have carefully seeded new colourways throughout the seasons, giving each release extended periods of time in the spotlight.
You never know what's coming next with Mizuno and the Morelia Neo. The Japanese brand like to keep their cards close to their chest, with a range consisting of traditional and brightly coloured designs. The latest colourway fuses elements of both with a timeless colour combination of Red/White/Blue.
The new design has already landed in Asia, both in stores and on pitch. South Korean midfielder Lee Keun-Ho was sighted giving the boots their on-pitch debut, scoring in South Korea's World Cup Qualifier against Qatar. Now challenged with making an impact in Europe, the boots are expected to be worn by Neo regulars including Hulk & Santa Cruz.
The Neo is one of the few modern speed boots that stays true to classic kangaroo leather. Weighing just 170g, the Neo undercuts the majority of speed boots out there. The use of premium natural material across the Neo is one of its strongest assets. The k-leather provides a luxurious, quilted feel as the stitch lines enhance the sense of touch.
The new Red/White/Blue is available now from specialist online retailers inlcuding Pro-Direct Soccer. Let us know what you make of the latest release from Mizuno. Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
