Mizuno take centre stage with an all new addition to their globally recognised Wave Ignitus II series. Since exploding onto the scene, the Wave Ignitus has built a solid reputation for performance and comfort, while offering one of the most popular alternatives to Nike and adidas.
Unbelievably, it was way back in May when the Japanese brand introduced the Wave Ignitus II, the anticipated successor to one of last years stand-out performers. Now two colourways in and with a reputation continually on the rise, the boots third instalment is here. Take a look and share your thoughts online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
The new Pearl/Black/Gold Mizuno Wave Ignitus II football boots are a classic looking addition to the range. With a clean black and white upper accented by gold detailing, the latest Wave Ignitus II is sure to go down well with the Mizuno faithful and boot fans alike! The same Pearl/Black/Gold colourway was interestingly used on the Supersonic Wave released in June 2010.
The innovative Mizuno Wave Ignitus II football boots focus around three main features - the Mukaiten Panel, Wave Technology, and 360 degree Bio Vamps - that combine to create one of the most unique soccer shoes around! Worn by Mizuno star Keisuke Honda and a number of top European players, the Wave Ignitus II is a serious player in the game!
The Mukaiten panel on the Mizuno Wave Ignitus II is an innovative piece of technology unique and exclusive to Mizuno which has been proven to aid the performance of its wearers. The word 'Mukaiten' simply means 'no spin', so the strategically placed panel on the instep of the boot is engineered to give the ball an unpredictable flight path.
The Mukaiten panel is wrapped around by the 360 degree Bio Vamps, re-designed for the Wave Ignitus II soccer shoes. The more aggressive panels generate increased friction and control at ball contact, and have been integrated into a new lacing system which enlarges the striking area. As the panels continue to spread over the instep and forefoot, the Ignitus II offers enhanced control and power.
The upper of the Mizuno Wave Ignitus II is made from a soft K-leather material which has been re-constructed specifically for the Ignitus. Touch and feel - two more Mizuno hallmarks - are further enhanced with this soft upper and you'll be surprised how light the boot feels
Mizuno are famous for their fit and comfort - and the incorporation of Wave technology in the Mizuno Wave Ignitus II soccer shoes only further adds to this notion. The Wave tech improves cushioning and stability in the outsole which combined with the bladed stud configuration delivers unrivalled traction.
The new Pearl/Black/Gold Mizuno Wave Ignitus II football boots will be available to order from December 1st at a limited number of retailers. The prices remain the same, with the new Wave Ignitus II retailing worldwide for around £130 GBP / €145 EURO / $190 USD.
