The second generation of Mizuno Shinken football boots are the most deadly Mizuno football boots created! As Mizuno claim they offer unrivalled control, speed and power...
On first glance they are a unique looking football boot, but do they deliver performance? Well, the Mizuno Wave Shinken II football boots are constructed from a nice blend of natural and synthetic materials.
Available in both a firm ground and soft ground sole-plate, the Mizuno Wave Shinken II football boots are first and foremost a comfortable boot. The K leather is soft to touch, which helps the upper provide a comfortable and snug fit.
The majority of the upper is soft kangaroo leather which is not only comfortable, but gives a great touch and feel for the ball. The boot has off-centre lacing combined with Mizuno's unique BioPanel to complete a boot designed to enhance accuracy, power and give a clean strike of the ball.
The lacing system of the Wave Shinken II football boots continues quite far into the toe-area, which improves the boots fit. Being able to adjust the lacing so far down means a glove-like fit, as there is no room for the material to arch up creating a gap between the toes and the material.
The boot is very well constructed (as shown above), with stitching around the individual BioPanels. And each panel individually formed to provide a unique boot-to-ball contact. The level of craftsmanship and durability continues on the outsole, which is stitched and glued to the boot.
Although the Mizuno Wave Shinken II football boots may not have any of the big sponsorship deals with superstar names wearing the boots, there is no denying this is a quality football boot.
This particular white/black/gold colourway has been available since June, and at £110 GBP undercuts a lot of the competition in the power football boots category.
