Billed as "the most tested MLS ball to date", the structure of the NATIVO features a familiar engineered panel shape, most notably the same shape as the 2014 World Cup Mach Ball, the Brazuca. The unique symmetry of six identical panels are thermally-bonded together to keep out moisture while the tailored structure is focused on providing improved grip as well as touch, stability and aerodynamics.
Aesthetically, the design on the NATIVO combines the symbols of the United States of America and Canada. The reason? To represent the unity existing within North America football. A fine delivery all flagged and ready, the design also features semi-opaque black and grey portions which look to give off an urban feel for a ball that when away from the stadium may take up pride of place on the streets.
Landing on pitch for the first time on 3rd March, the ball will mark a momentous occasion as MLS newcomers Minnesota United FC are hosted by Portland Timbers.
