adidas present the 'Ashington' shoe : Photography : Soccer Bible

A glorious tribute to a genuine footballing icon, adidas have unveiled the 'Ashington' which will be released later this month. Dedicated to Sir Bobby Charlton, they are a stand out jewel in a three striped crown that is synonymous with Manchester and indeed United.

Sir Bobby Charlton, one of England's greatest ever players and a long standing, loyal servant to Manchester United. It's only right that with the adidas and United connection blooming, that they mark a man who has given the game so much, inspiring generations along the way.



The shoe itself is one that is delivered with contemporary class on point. Named after Sir Bob's hometown in Northumberland, they are designed from adidas Originals quarters, and come dressed with subtle United touches including their famous devil icon, while 'ashington' is etched in gold. 

On sale from 27th October, this is a shoe that breaks away from the tribal nature of football, it's one, just like Sir Bobby Charlton, we can all appreciate.
