Continuing to challenge the conventions of the game with aesthetic style, Federico Maccapani AKA Mbroidered has thrown down a conceptual creation that mashes old with new. Fresh lock ups such as sponsors and kit suppliers have been applied to historic shirts, bringing out an all encompassing collection of reimagined glory.

Someone we spoke to as part of SoccerBible Magazine Issue 5, the Makers & Creatos Issue, Federico fits that bill to a tee. Forever on a quest to push football apparel as well as lifestyle in a delightful direction of free thinking travel, a latest project from Mbroidered is always welcomed with interest.

This one, original in its idea and tailored in its execution, marries together the nostalgic love for a retro shirt with the contemporary tones that wash a current kit. Simple touches from trefoil to performance such as the adidas performance logo have been applied to both classic Manchester United and Chelsea numbers, while other teams such as Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen enter the mix.
