Celebrating an epicentre that breathes a creative culture of cool, adidas head to Manchester's Northern Quarter to launch a landmark United kit.

adidas embarked on a mission to throw down a fresh mark on the legacy that is Manchester United last night. Taking to the heart of Manchester, this was a celebration of an historic past just as much as an onward journey of destined success.

adidas and Manchester United created a remarkable body of work in a partnership that in spirit, owned football throughout the 70s, 80s and early 90s. Appreciating the past is arguably the way to appreciate the future and it's beautifully obvious that the brand have taken stock of that.

Kits from the past teased the crowd as the clock drew closer to midnight. The kit, unveiled to one short fused rapture of appreciation, went down like a perfect storm. Tasteful though nostalgic.
