Earlier this week adidas kicked off its celebrations to mark the 20th anniversary of the adidas Predator with the release of two limited edition Predator Instinct football boots: the Predator Instinct ‘Eyes’ and ‘Tongue’. With neither boot hitting retail, there aren’t many pairs in circulation. Now though, thanks to a spectacular hook-up from the adidas Football team, we can bring you an exclusive closer look at the adidas Predator Instinct ‘Eyes’ football boots.
The adidas Predator Instinct ‘Eyes’ football boots evokes old-school Predator nostalgia with a design that revives two key pieces of Predator branding first used on the original adidas Predator models. The headline lateral side graphics reference the eyes found on the inside fold-over tongue of the Predator 1994 and Predator Rapier from 1996, while the unmistakeable ‘Predator’ logo sits in a deep red on the inside heel.
The limited edition boots use the adidas Predator Instinct as a base template but don’t carry any of the main features found on the latest Instinct model. Instead the boots feature an all over textured print reminiscent of elements found on the Predator 1994, Rapier and LZ. The camouflaged three-stripes are barley visible, blending into the dark grey upper on the back half of the boot. Collectors looking to cop a pair should keep an eye on @adidasfootball's Twitter.
Stay tuned as we’ll also be bringing you a closer look at the adidas Predator Instinct ‘Tongue’ football boots. Let us know what you think of the design in the comments below.
