Taking time out from his photoshoot duties at the UK launch of the adidas Samba Pack we caught up with Leighton Baines to talk adidas Predators. From his first pair to his favourite pair the Everton & England left back talked us through his thoughts on the new Samba editions and how the boots benefit his free kicks.
Baines is in the form of his life, his attacking mentality and set piece deliveries have resulted in many fans tipping him to fly to Brazil as England's first choice left back, and with adidas kicking off their countdown to the 2014 World Cup with the launch of the Samba Collection we were keen to know Baines' thoughts on the Solar Pink Pred.
Admitting he's warming to the idea of brighter boots Baines told us, "I've always tended to be more traditional, it took me a while to feel at home in coloured boots. It's not a big deal for me, if anything now I prefer a bit of colour on my boots. You get a bit of stick from the coaches at training, they've grown up wearing Copa Mundials and World Cups but for the players it's what they’re used to and what they want now."
Discussing his memories of the Predator and how the collection has progressed Baines explained, "When they first came onto the scene it was a bit of a revelation, it's been interesting to watch them evolve. It's a better all round boot than when I first started wearing them."
What are your thoughts on the new Samba Edition Predator LZ? Should Baines be England's first choice left back at the World Cup? Let us know. Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
