In 2006 the man behind the Y-3 label was sketching his original animal designs onto the +F50 Tunit. Yamamoto took inspiration from Japanese artist Taishi Hayashi, producing four super exclusive boots - the Dragon, the Eagle, the Tiger and the Wolf.
Limited to 1000 pairs, the exclusive collaboration took football boot design to a new level. Each animal inspired pair came locked in a cage brandished with a plaque embossed with the adidas logo and Yamamoto's signature. The new adidas Yamamoto adizero F50 is an extension of this original collaboration. Both are must haves for any serious boot collector.
The premium collection remains one of adidas' most exclusive boot lines. Restricted to exclusive stockists at the time, the boots were quickly snapped up by collectors before disappearing from the scene. We managed to track down each boot in the collection to give you a retrospective look at the original Yamamoto F50 boots.
If you want to pick up a pair of the Y-3 +F50 Tunit football boots, they are currently available to order from independent fashion store Richmond Classics. The new limited edition adidas Yamamoto adizero F50 football boots are available to pre-order now exclusively from adidas and Pro-Direct Soccer.
