adidas 11Pro SL Football Boots - Black/White/Red - Football Boots

Last season's Black/White/Red colourway given to the standard adidas adiPURE 11Pro has now been placed on the premium SL versions. Bringing the two models in line with each other gives players to option to pick the boot based on its tech aspects rather than which they prefer visually.

If you feel like you might have seen this boot before then we can see where you're coming from, apart from being a few grams lighter, it's very similar to last season's UCL final model and before that it's not too far away from the Black/Black/Pop 11Pro SL or even the first 11Pro SL release. But moving on!





The adiPURE 11Pro SL combines classic looks with modern innovation, the boots benefit from the natural ball feel of a premium K-leather vamp and the lightweight fit of an adidas SprintSkin lateral and medial quarter. Basically, the front of the boot is leather for a more quality feel of the ball whereas the back of the boot is made from a synthetic material to keep weight down to a minimum.

The adidas adiPURE 11Pro SL weighs in at 180g making it 60g lighter than the standard versions. The forefoot and tongue of the adidas 11Pro SL is constructed from soft K-Leather, an upgrade from the Taurus leather used on the standard issues and features adidas' revolutionary single layer Sprintskin synthetic.

Despite being one of the coolest looking boots on the market the 11Pro SL very rarely receives on-pitch coverage on the professional scene and can often slip by unnoticed. This is in fact the fifth colourway to be placed on the adiPURE 11Pro SL with the previous edition being a brighter white/volt release. This Black/White/Red combo comes with a pair of red laces if you faniced giving them an extra bit of jazz.





It's worth noting the 11Pro SL will set you back an extra £50 compared to the standard versions but has to be classed as one of the most underrated boot collections on the market. Lightweight, leather and top design, the 11Pro SL won't get much pro player support with adidas placing their players in the standard issues, but overall an unsung heritage boot fit for the modern game.
