adidas Team Five Challenge Video - Football News

Back in May, adidas invited teams around Europe to take part in its first international five-a-side football tournament. For this first edition, teams from 9 participating countries attempted to win one of the opportunity to play against football legend Zinedine Zidane at the Z5 complex, Zidane's five-a-side complex in his home region of Provence, France.  

The tournament kicked off with national play-offs in each country - France, England, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Czech Rep, Slovakia, Greece and Mexico with only one team per country qualifying. This new video from adidas features team Vasco, the UK champions, and their journey from London to Marseille in search of tournament glory and the opportunity to play alongside Zidane.





Although ultimatley unsuccesful after being beaten by the Czech Republic's champions in the final, it was still a decent experience for team Vasco. "The tournament's been fantastic, it's not just about the prize itself but the experience...obviously meeting Zidane, a world superstar, its just amazing."
