With the season beginning to enter full swing adidas have dropped a brand new Champions League Edition red/white/electricity paint job on their most recent silo. The Nitrocharge has captured a wide range of players in all positions since it's release and players who were holding out for a fourth colourway to land have been served up with a treat.
The Nitrocharge has assembled an impressive squad of players since it's official launch in May with player such as Dani Alves, Javi Martinez and Xabi Alonso lacing up in the new silo. Another recent convert into the Nitrocharge is Manchester United's Phil Jones who must have one eye of this new red colourway to match up with his United home kit.
The boot is the first predominantly bright red boot (that isn’t an f50) that adidas have released for a long time and as red is the most popular kit colour across the world there's going to be a lot of happy players who prefer a one coloured kit/boot combo. The 3 stripes are white and the "Energysling" has been kept Electricity, a trademark of the Nitrocharge that looks set to stay for the foreseeable future.
Armed with a new array of boot technology, the adidas Nitrocharge is targets the team's 'engine', the box to box midfielder. The Nitrocharge features totally new innovations from the adidas lab that are inspired by spring geometry to provide maximum energy output. The distinctive Electricity coloured Energysling is a high-elasticity rubber band designed to support side-cut and turn movements.
Inspired by spring geometry, a new high-elasticity material titled Energypulse, provides high energy output during toe-off phase. Built on adidas' sprintframe construction with Traxion shape studs, the responsive chassis enables optimum energy output by returning to shape far quicker.
Another decent addition for the Nitrocharge and adidas are starting to build a real contender of a silo that packs a top collection of four tasty colourways. Champions League edition designs from adidas are always quality looking boots and their first attempt on the Nitrocharge hasn't disappointed in our opinion. The UCL group stages get underway on September 17th so expect to see a few pairs of these bad boys knocking around.
The new Red/White/Electricity Nitrocharge 1.0 boots have landed worldwide and are now available to pre-order from selected online stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer. What do you think of the new colourway? Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
