Continuing their busy start to the week, adidas have added to yesterday's new Predator update by dropping a bright and bold new paint job on the F50 adizero. Seen on the feet of Gareth Bale at his grand unveiling yesterday, the new Zest/Black/Purple colourway is a sure fire attention grabber.
The summer is starting to tail off and the dark nights are drawing in. So what do you do if your a football boot manufacturer? That's right drop a nice and bright colourway on your speed boots to catch the flood lights and our attention in the process. That's exactly what adidas have done with the release of the new Electricity/Hero Ink/Silver adizero F50's.
Speed boots are often the victim of a loud new paint job and the F50 adizero has been no exception. But adidas have got the balance right with this new colourway and it feels like the right time to drop something colourful after a summer dominated by black out boots. Now into double figures in terms of colour updates the new paint job is the current F50 models eleventh release.
As we reported yesterday, Gareth Bale gave us a sneaky peek at the new colourway during his grand unveiling at the Bernabeu. Our immediate thoughts were how good they look on pitch, especially teamed with a white kit. Expect to see a few of these kicking around la Liga in the coming months as Bale joins fellow F50 wearers Benzema, Marcelo and Fabio Coentrao and that's just at Real Madrid.
Techwise the F50 adizero offer a snug fit and amazing natural ball feel. The boots feature a moulded adidas Traxion 2.0 stud configuration for maximum acceleration and responsive braking on firm ground. Under the hood it's the usual stuff again from the F50, interior Sprintweb to increase lateral stability and support across the mid-foot and the micoach cavity so you can track your progress.
The new Electricity/Hero Ink/Silver adizero F50 boots are now available to pre-order from selected online stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer. What do you think of the new colourway? Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook
