We're only a matter of weeks into the new season but already adidas have wasted no time in topping up their boot catalogue, adding a refreshing Blue/White/Orange colour update to their Predator LZ line. The boots are another tasty reminder of what can be done with the Predator LZ template.
They're a stylish addition that's sure to win over a lot of fans, but have you spotted the club connection? Sure, a blue Predator is always going to look good in a Chelsea kit, but we imagine adidas took their inspiration from Real Madrid's tasty blue away strip.
The blue and orange design is a perfect match for Real Madrid's away kit. Step forward Angel di Maria, just about the only high-profile Predator player who's likely to remain at Real Madrid come the end of the transfer window! Kaka has returned to AC Milan, while Mesut Ozil also looks likely to leave.
When it comes to creating a great looking boot, you simply can't lose with a Blue/White colour combo. Add to that a splash of Orange and you have a winning design. The Predator LZ might have been overshadowed this summer by the Nitrocharge and Nike HyperVenom, but adidas are restoring some buzz around their control silo with a top line of new colourways.
Spec-wise, the adidas Predator LZ is the second evolution of the 'Lethal Zones' concept. Each zone is designed, engineered and placed according to their specific function. The SL rubber material is welded directly onto the hybrid-touch upper material, allowing for less layers and a better feel for the ball. Most noticeably, adidas have increased the surface area of the 'dribble', 'drive' and 'sweet-spot' zones.
The new Blue/White/Orange Predator LZ boots have landed worldwide and are now available to pre-order from selected online stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer. What do you think of the new colourway? Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
