adidas Predator LZ Football Boots - Red/Black/Electricity - Football Boots

Just as summer is peaking and slap bang in the middle of the MLS season, adidas have dropped a red hot, new paint job on the Predator LZ. The bright Red/Black/Electricity colourway is a loud one and will appeal to those who like to get noticed not just for their footballing prowess.
 

The new adidas Predator LZ has seen a few different colour ups since its launch back in mid May, some have been well received, some not so. We can see these, and the new Electricity/Black/Red version, splitting opinion too. Not every one likes a bright boot, but their US only exclusivity will add to the appeal and if your currently on your holidays you can grab a pair of boots that you'll be pretty sure your mates don't have.    





The new colourway features a mainly red upper with touches of yellow splashed on the 'dribble' and 'sweet spot' Lethal Zones. The sole plate is also yellow and the famous 3 stripes and adidas branding on the tongue and hell of the boot is in black. Although not available in Europe the boot has a distinctively Spanish feel. If you like to show your colours on the training ground and your a Real Salt Lake or Houston Dynamos fan then these will be right up your street.  

The new Predator LZ's have been popular in pre-season with most Pred players, Steven Gerrard aside, making the switch without any problems and we've been assured by adidas Gerrard will be back in his faithful boots come the start of the Premiership. We also gave them a run out in our recent Laced Up feature and they cam up trumps, impressing in the levels of spin and power created.

As a result of feedback from the pro's, the new Predator has seen some key modifications. For improved passing with the outside of the foot adidas have increased the surface area of the 'Dribble' zone by 80% while the addition of SL rubber to memory foam has increased the precision of the 'Control and Pass' zone. The enlarged 3D 'Drive' zone has given the Pred's a more aggressive kicking area and the 'Sweet Spot' has been extended by 18% for more Spin and Speed.
