We're well into the summer break now and the new paint jobs keep on coming. Next up are adidas with a slick new reworking of the Nitrocharge. The Black/Chrome/Electricity/White colourway is the Nitocharge's first new lick of paint since its release a month ago and it looks set to be a big hit.
It may seem a little early to start thinking about next season's boots but pre-season is only around the corner, Celtic are back and United are due to go back on July 3rd to prepare for their Tour of Asia. So it's this time of year when the brands get busy, start touting their wares and refreshing what's on offer.
The new Black/Chrome/Electricity/Running White colourway will please those who were in two minds over the Nitrocharge's initial release in Hi Res Blue and Electricity. We were fans, especially after filming it on pitch a few days ago, but the new colourway has a wider appeal with its more toned down feel.
The boot is mainly black with Electricity coloured padding peeking though the black protective mesh layer. The 3 stripes are Chrome and the "Energysling" has been kept Electricity, something that looks set to stay on the Nitrocharge for the foreseeable future.
Armed with a new array of boot technology, the adidas Nitrocharge is targets the workhorse midfielder. The Nitrocharge feature totally new innovations from the adidas lab that are inspired by spring geometry to provide maximum energy output. The distinctive Electricity coloured Energysling is a high-elasticity rubber band designed to support side-cut and turn movements.
The special upper construction allows for optimal stability and elasticity to give you more energy during lateral movement. This technology really comes to life across the midfoot and rearfoot areas of the boot. A superstrong protective mesh layer concept has been designed to allow nonstop 90-minute protection.
The second key innovation is housed within the revolutionary outsole. Inspired by spring geometry, a new high-elasticity material titled Energypulse, provides high energy output during toe-off phase. Built on adidas' sprintframe construction with Traxion shape studs, the responsive chassis enables optimum energy output by returning to shape far quicker.
The Black/Chrome/Electricity/Running White Nitrocharge is available to pre-order now from selected stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer. Let us know what you think online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
