adidas have given the adipure 11pro a new lick of paint with a nod to its heritage roots. The new Black/White/Red colourway is the 11pro's tenth paint job since it was first released in January last year. A stylish update, the boots were worn by Philip Lahm during the Champions League Final last weekend.
In amongst the crazy colourways of recent launches such as the Nitrocharge and the new Predator, it's nice to see adidas haven't forgotten the 11pro's roots as the go-to boot for players after a classic, leather-based boot with a modern look.
There's always a market place for louder colourways, every team has their Mr Flash but loads of you have been crying out for more releases with a bit of an old school feel. It's good to see the industry react to this, the classic red/black/White will definitely please a fair few.
Aside from the new paint job the boots have plenty to offer. A soft leather material offers comfort and ball feel for the likes of Lahm and Lampard. Adidas utilise their Taurus leather on the 11Pro - a success on the Predator range. Aided by an ultra thin coating to protect the upper in the main kicking areas, it makes the adipure 11Pro a more durable shoe.
The Taurus leather upper is interrupted though, with a midfoot synthetic saddle. The anatomically shaped saddle, featuring the 3-Stripes, provide the adipure 11Pro football boots with excellent midfoot stability.
Comfort is provided by an anatomically moulded EVA insole, similar to the one featured in the adipure IV, but with the benefit of flexzones in the forefoot to assist movement and improve fit. A soft suede synthetic leather lining provides additional comfort, whilst reducing any foot movement within the boots for a more secure fit.
The Sprintframe construction features a more conical stud shape when compared to the f50, and is a one-piece lightweight engineered outsole which provides a balance between lightweight, acceleration and stability. Such was adidas' confidence in the performance benefits of the revolutionary Sprintframe, that each silo now accommodates the lightweight outsole.
The adiPure may have begun life as a no nonsense football boot, offering high-quality with a traditional old-school feel. But fast forward six years since the boots release and adidas have merged heritage with modern innovation through the brands miCoach technology engineered into the outsole.
The new Black/Red/White adidas adipure 11pro football boots will be available to order from selected online stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer. What do you think of the new colourway? Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
