You've seen the video and images, but now we can give you a closer look at how adidas created one of the most talked about launch campaigns in recent years. As part of adidas' campaign to launch Chelsea's new home strip, a selection of Blues stars were called into Halliford Studios in Surrey for some special filming.

Captain John Terry, David Luiz and Eden Hazard were joined by adidas team-mates Juan Mata, Demba Ba, Oscar, Fernando Torres, Gary Cahill and Petr Cech. The Chelsea players were happy to participate, each agreeing to be photographed and filmed for the unique shoot, where they were covered with blue fluid while posing to camera.
This year adidas football are stepping up their promotional work - expect some exciting months ahead for the three stripes, with launch campaigns like no other. The 'It's Blue. What Else Matters?' campaign has everyone talking - a quick lap of Stamford Bridge and you can see the buzz it's creating ahead of the kits final reveal.
On set for the shoot, the nine Chelsea stars were more than happy to be covered from head to toe in the club's colours. Brazilian defender David Luiz added: "I have really enjoyed being part of this day, I would do anything for this club and to show my passion for being a Blue means everything to me."
Chelsea's giant shot-stopper Petr Cech said: "I can say that painted in blue, it shows how blue I can be, Chelsea is a huge part of my life and Chelsea Football Club has become like my second family." Spanish midfielder and recent adidas signing Juan Mata added: 'The blue is to belong to this club, as a player and a supporter.'
The film starts with the journey of a single drop of blue liquid dominating the screen before cutting to a locker bleeding adidas’ iconic three stripes of blue liquid from its vent. The anticipation and intrigue builds as a suspended barrel of the blue starts to slowly pour creating a wall of paint. As the music drops and the speed picks up, the film cuts to Terry, Mata and Cahill who size up the blue liquid in front of them.
