Gareth Bale has scored some of the best goals of his career wearing the yellow/black/green adidas f50 adizero, but this Sunday the Tottenham superstar will change his stripes for the new blue/white/pink f50 as one of the most heated derby fixtures in English football takes centre stage.
Arsenal travel to Tottenham for a super-Sunday fixture that promises to be a mouth-watering clash, with both teams vying for Champions League qualification. Four points separate the London rivals, with Tottenham sitting two places above The Gunners in third.
Gareth Bale is running the show for Tottenham this season, recently firing in a string of long-range dipping strikes. Equipped with his new boots, Bale will be hoping to inflict more damage on Arsenal's Champions League hopes when they travel to White Hart Lane. His outstanding run has seen him score 8 goals in 6 appearances. But with this being a North London derby, all statistics are thrown out the window.
Bale's remarkable run, which most recently included a last minute winner in Tottenham's dramatic 3-2 victory at West Ham, means he's quickly become one of adidas' biggest assets. No other player is putting the f50 adizero in the spotlight quite like the flying Welshman, having recorded 11 league goals wearing the latest adizero model.
Arsenal vs Tottenham is the highest scoring fixture in Premier League history, with 121 goals. This season's reverse fixture saw Arsenal come from behind to record their second consecutive 5-2 victory over Spurs - striker Emmanuel Adebayor saw red in the first half after opening the scoring. In his final game wearing the old adizero model, Bale was also amongst the goals, netting Tottenahm's second.
In the thick of it: Bale couldn't inspire Spurs to victory at Arsenal back in November.
The new blue/white/pink f50 adizero has already hit the Champions League, but Bale will be the first player to bring the boots to the Premier League. Arsenal front man Lukas Podolski is also expected to wear the boots after already scoring in them in Arsenal's Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich.
Bale is understood to have one year left on his adidas contract, but is expected to land an extended deal that will make him one of adidas' top earners. With Real Madrid reportedly looking to make the winger their no.1 summer signing, Bale could soon become one of the world's biggest adidas athletes.
