Dropping just in time for the Champions League, and making a play on the colour scheme of the Finale 13 ball, are these new F50 adizero football boots. The Blue/White/Pink combination gives a more classy toned down overall look, but one that emphasizes the Three Stripes.
It's a colour scheme we first saw on the feet of Bastian Schweinsteiger during a promotional adidas shoot, and the German midfielder we can assume is chief protagonist for the colourway. But with a strong colour connection to the Champions League, we can expect the boots to take centre stage across Europe 's premier competition.
The fifth colour update for the current F50 model (sixth if you count Messi's Ballon d'Or boots!); the boots will be made available in both a leather and synthetic upper material, but like with the majority of players it's the leather that catches our eye. As adidas continue their commitment to producing some of the highest quality leather speed boots in the game; the professionals demand them and we can't get enough of them.
Whether you're an F50 player or not, there's been no escaping the adizero phenomenon in recent years. Led by the world's greatest player Lionel Messi, the F50 silo has fast become adidas' most important football boot. Still under three years old, but it certainly seems like the adizero has been part of the game for much longer.
For the leather editions featured here, it's the same story as previous generations. As adidas use the same Goleo Calf leather which offers a natural touch and feel. For many adizero players including David Villa, Leo Messi, Karim Benzema and Demba Ba, it's the preferred choice of upper.
The new Blue/White/Pink adidas F50 adizero football boots are available to order now for dispatch early March at selected online retailers. The leather editions will hit stores worldwide for around £160.00 GBP / $210.00 USD / €195.00 EURO.
We're expecting to see the Blue/White/Pink F50's on pitch during the current round of Champions League ties. Let us know what you think of adidas' latest colour combination. Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
