With the new 2012/13 season on the horizon, adidas treat the adiPure 11Pro range to another lick of paint. Thought the recent black & white out editions marked an early end to the 11Pro? Think again. There's still life in adidas' fifth generation adiPure as it prepares for another season in the European spotlight.
The new White/Blue/Black adidas adiPure 11Pro is a bit of a stunner in our books. Heritage boots are never usually a canvas for experimental colourways. Brands usually stick to tried and tested formulas. White and blue boots are nothing new but the 11Pro certainly carries the colour well! Check them out and let us know what you think.
Adidas have pushed boundaries in recent years, bringing new technologies to the forefront of football boot design. As a result, what was originally launched as a strict heritage boot has been given a modern stamp. The adiPure 11Pro may be a traditional boot at heart, but it's no longer your average heritage boot – far from it.
The adiPure 11Pro controversially avoids the use of natural leather. For the adiPure 11Pro, adidas use a high-grade Taurus leather aided by an ultra thin coating to protect the upper in the main kicking areas, making the adidas adipure 11Pro a more durable soccer shoe.
The Taurus leather across the upper is interrupted with a mid-foot synthetic saddle. The anatomically shaped saddle was one of the 11Pros main advancements from previous generations and provides the boot with added mid-foot stability.
Comfort is provided by an anatomically moulded EVA insole, similar to the one featured in the adipure IV, but with the benefit of flexzones in the forefoot to assist movement and improve fit. A soft suede synthetic leather lining provides additional comfort, whilst reducing any foot movement within the boots for a more secure fit.
The Sprintframe construction on the adiPure 11Pro features a more conical stud shape when compared to the f50, and is a one-piece lightweight engineered outsole which provides a balance between lightweight, acceleration and stability.
The new White/Blue/Black adidas adiPure 11Pro will get its first taste of match action as clubs begin their pre-season tours. Expect your usual adiPure suspects to be spotted wearing them, including Chelsea's Frank Lampard and Bayern Munich's Phillip Lahm.
Players who already use the adiPure 11Pro will be looking to the new White/Blue/Black colourway as their boot of choice for next season. They will be available to order from July in both FG and SG sole-plates. You will be able to pick up a pair from around £125 GBP / €150 EURO / $150 USD.
We're big fans of the new adidas adiPure 11Pro colourway but whether or not they register on your cool radar, we'd like to know! Share your opinions online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
