Adidas bolster their newly introduced Predator LZ SL line-up with the launch of a darker toned, more player-friendly Black/Electricity/Infrared colourway. Unlike any other football boot on the market, the Predator LZ SL is another new step in direction for the ever-evolving Predator range.
The result of adidas' determined motivation to make all of their football boots lighter, the adidas Predator LZ SL has been reworked and engineered in dynamic, space-age fashion! Check them out and let us know what you think online, on Twitter & on Facebook.
In the battle for lightweight, adidas are continuing to push some of their most iconic designs in new directions. A synthetic Predator might not be to everyones taste, but with the game rapidly changing adidas are setting the pace for new design innovations.
Weghing 205g, the adidas Predator LZ SL is adidas' lightest ever Predator - 20g lighter than the Predator LZ and 6g lighter than last seasons Predator SL. Replacing the HybridTouch upper material used on the standard edition, the boot is constructed using an adizero-inspired single layer synthetic SprintSkin upper for super lightness.
As for the five lethal zones, it's business as usual on the tech-front. The upper features five zones of technology designed to master all aspects of your game. Each zone was the result of rigorous player testing. Adidas worked with some of the games best players from Robin Van Persie to Xavi to help develop each of the five zones.
To further reduce weight, the boots come with an ultra light insole with an additional pair of comfort insoles. Completing the super-light upper is the same TRAXION®2.0 FG stud configuration which provides maximum grip and acceleration on firm ground pitches.
The SprintFrame outsole, which balances lightweight construction and stability, remains the outsole of choice for the adidas Predator LZ SL. The SprintFrame was a game-changer when it was first introduced and provides maximum grip and optimum pressure distribution on firm or soft ground.
Like last season, adidas will not offer any player support for the Predator LZ SL - it will be down to non-contracted pro's to give us an idea of what these look like on pitch!
The lighter the boot, the higher the price tag - that seems to be the general rule for football boots! If you want to get your hands on a pair of the adidas Predator LZ SL for the new season, they'll set you back £220 GBP / $250 USD / €265 EURO and are available to pre-order now from selected online stockists.
