Following their FA Cup final debut performance on the feet of Liverpool's Stewart Downing, we can now give you a hands-on look at the new Red/White/Blue adidas f50 adizero miCoach football boots. Set to be adidas' lead f50 colourway for the European Championships, the latest release to the popular adizero range will be available from June 1st - let us know what you think!
With some of Europe's biggest attacking talents wearing the adizero miCoach, adidas will be banking on a successful summer tournament in the battle of the brands. The adizero miCoach is sure to be amongst the goals - Lukas Podolski, David Silva, Arjen Robben and Ashley Young will all headline adidas' f50 roster in Poland & Ukraine.
On-pitch presence will once again be the priority of adidas, Nike and Puma at the European Championships. The new Red/White/Blue colourway isn't overly in-your-face for a speed boot, but with a strong player uptake expected across each nation, they will undoubtedly be one of the most recognisable boots at this summers tournament.
The adizero enjoyed a spectacular 2010 World Cup, netting a total of 43 goals on their way to becoming the tournament's top scoring boot. Following another goal-fuelled season across each of the top European Leagues, the f50 is in poll position to repeat its goal scoring heroics of two years ago and pip Nike to the top spot!
The adizero's goal scoring record is the result of enormous player uptake. Despite losing star names Samir Nasri and Nani to the new Predator LZ, the f50 silo continues to be the most popular boot choice for Europe’s most deadly attacking players.
One player that adidas will be eager to see step out in Poland/Ukraine wearing the adizero is Spain's David Villa. The Barcelona attacker and Spain's all-time leading goal scorer has been out of action since fracturing his tibia at the Club World Cup, but is hopeful of making a return in time for the Euros.
The adidas f50 adizero miCoach will enter the European Championships as one of the tournament's most advance football boots. The adizero uses adiLite Twin material across the Sprintskin upper for reduced weight and improved ball feel. The Sprintweb across the mid-foot offers increased lateral stability and support.
The new Red/White/Blue adidas f50 adizero miCoach football boots are available to pre-order now for launch on June 1st. The boots will be available in both a synthetic and leather upper with standard prices set at around £155 GBP / €180 EURO / $200 USD. Alternatively you can purchase the bundle including the miCoach Speed Cell for £205 GBP / €240 EURO / $270 USD.
