The adizero miCoach gets treated to its fifth major colour update with the launch of the new White/Energy/Black adidas f50 football boots – a swanky new addition brought to life with a fresh white upper. We expect this to be the final f50 colourway for the 11/12 season, before adidas launch new additions to lead them into the European Championship boot battle with Nike and Puma!
We've seen every colour imaginable hit the adidas f50 range over the years, but when it comes to white colourways, the choices are limited. The new White/Energy/Black adizero miCoach football boots offer a clean alternative to some of the more extravagant designs released in recent months. Check them out and give us your thoughts on adidas' latest release. Share your thoughts online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
The new White/Energy/Black adidas f50 football boots will be outnumbered on pitch by adidas' lead colourways – the Blue/White/Energy and Phantom/Electricity/Energy, worn by the likes of Lionel Messi, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema. Even so, we're looking forward to seeing how the new boots look in action over the coming weeks!
For those of you who liked the look of the recently released White/Black/Core Energy adizero women's football boots, the latest release to the men's f50 miCoach range could offer a similar alternative. It's a sharp looking colourway, made distinctive by the contrasting black sprintweb and red branding. The boots will be available in both a leather and synthetic upper.
We're yet to see the new White/Energy/Black colourway given their full European debut, but the boots have already begun to pop up on pitches around the globe, as we recently spotted players from Uzbekistani football club Neftchi Farg'ono wearing the boots in action – although we don't expect this to be the height of their exposure!
The introduction of miCoach technology continues to change the boot game, with more players jumping on the miCoach bandwagon. By delivering precise information direct to your computer, the chip allows you to track and upload performance data including speed, max speed, number of sprints, distance, and distance a high intensity levels.
For the latest generation of the adizero, the upper has been given a more textured finish to improve ball control and touch. The adiLite Twin material is retained for the 'Sprintskin' upper, as it's been a hugely successful single-layer synthetic which reduces weight and gives improved ball feel. The Sprintweb offers increased lateral stability and support, especially across the midfoot, to transfer the forces from the outsole to the upper.
The new White/Energy/Black adizero miCoach leather football boots will be available from March 1st and will retail worldwide for around £150 GBP / €210 EURO / $200 USD. Alternatively you can purchase the bundle including the miCoach Speed Cell for £200 GBP / €245 EURO / $270 USD.
The adizero miCoach range has been treated to a few hit-and-miss colourways so far this season. What do you think of the brands latest design? Share your thoughts on adidas' latest colourway online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
