After serving up a Halloween treat by releasing the Black/Warning adiPower Predators, adidas have unveiled an SL version of the stunning colorway to give players a lighter and equally as impressive alternative!
The release of the Black/Blue Predator SL was destined to become one of the most talked about boots in the world. As of yet, the SL has not been established on the professional stage, with only a handful of players opting for the lighter version of the adiPower, but the new Black/Warning colorway could well see the lightest Predator ever burst onto our football pitches in style! The recent Black/Warning adiPower release received a fantastic reception from football boot fans on the Global Soccer Gear Society and we're sure the SL edition will not fail to disappoint! The vibrant warning orange slowly fades to black as it reaches the heel of the boot creating a colorway that immediately grabs the attention.
The new adidas Predator SL weighs in at an impressive 211g (24g lighter than the adiPower and just 1g heavier than the Superfly III). The astounding lightweight factor combined with the traditional power of the adidas Predator is a force to be reckoned with and the new warning colorway adds that sense of speed we've been so used to seeing on lightweight boots.
The Predator Zone has been modified to meet the light-weight demands of the new adidas Predator SL football boots. In comparison to the aggressively structured silicon rubber Predator Element of the adiPower, the synthetic SL Predator Zone claims to offer similar performance attributes but will surely provide a different ball feel.
Beneath the super-light SPRINTSKIN upper, the same sprint frame out-sole featuring adidas' famous PowerSpine technology is used in the Predator SL. Allowing additional energy transfer directly from the foot into the ball, this is where the SL merges speed with power.
Armed with an intimidating new look, the adidas Predator SL soccer shoes are designed with adidas' revolutionary SPRINTSKIN upper material which helps drastically reduce weight whilst fully adapting to the shape of your foot. First introduced in the adiZero, this popular technology has helped shape future designs of super-light adidas football boots.
As much as the new Predator SL has been designed with lightweight speed in mind, the Predator PowerSpine ensures that every last ounce of shot power from the player can still be achieved. Comfort is also provided through the PowerSpine flexgrooves that allow comfortable running movements by keeping the element highly flexible in the right direction.
The new Black/Warning adidas Predator SL aims to offer optimum power and speed. Weighing just 211g, the new Predator SL is undoubtedly a speed performance boot and one we hope to see making regular appearances on elite level pitches!
The Black/Warning adidas Predator SL football boots will be available to pre-order from December for a scheduled early January release and will retail for around £210 GBP / $300 USD / €235 EURO.
