Golden adidas Predator's have marked special occasions over recent years. Most famously, Beckham was presented with a limited edition pair of adidas Predator PowerSwerve DB Gold football boots to mark his 100th cap for England. Prior to that, former Galactico Zinedine Zidane wore a limited edition pair of Gold Predator Absolute's for the 2006 World Cup. Both stunning boots, but both limited numbers.
For Pred fans already speculating whether or not the same will apply for the new Gold/Red/Black adiPower DB Predator soccer shoes, we can reveal they are set for a full release from adidas in mid July. For those of you not up to speed with the new adiPower Predator football boots, adidas' next generation Pred is their most revolutionary yet! Power has merged with lightweight construction to create the lightest and most powerful Predator ever. A newly introduced SprintFrame out-sole combines with the familiar Predator PowerSpine, while an all new Predator Element allows for more power and swerve than ever before.
On previous Beckham models, the LA Galaxy midfielder has asked to retain the PowerPulse element from the Predator PowerSwerve football boots. As Beckham becomes more familiar with the new adiPower soccer cleats, it will be interesting to see whether 'Golden Balls' continues this way or embraces the new lightweight adidas technology.
A Beckham Predator wouldn't be complete without the world-famous 'free-kick' logo on the boot! Described as the 'Jordan' logo of the soccer world, Beckham's iconic symbol features on the heel of the right boot while the adidas performance logo maintains its place on the left.
The new Gold/Red/Black adiPower DB Predator football boots are expected to be available from mid July and will retail worldwide for around £155 GBP / $230 USD / €185 EURO.
