It feels like we've had enough to colour to last the year over the past week! The new Black/Zero Metallic/Blue refreshingly combines classic colours to create a timeless look and feel. Inspired by the adidas Copa Mundial and World Cup, the black leather upper and white stripes combine with a 'blue splash' collar, tongue and sole. Gold stitching across the boot adds an extra element of class to a modern classic.
Some of the worlds finest exponents of the beautiful game choose the adiPURE as their weapon of choice. Frank Lampard, Xabi Alonso and Bastian Schweinsteiger continue to turn games wearing the classic adidas boots. With iconic names such as these, the adiPURE has developed a reputation of being a boot for the effortlessly cool central midfielder.
With each release, the adiPURE range continues to evolve into the near perfect heritage football boot. The adiPURE IV soccer shoes meet modern day demand by being the lightest standard adiPURE to date. In comparison to the adiPURE III - which tipped the scales at 10.6oz - the adiPURE IV is a respectable 9.8oz, giving the boots a noticeably lighter feel.
One of the more noticeable changes to be made to the adiPURE IV is the repositioning of one of the famous three stripes. The subtle shift of the former rear stripe to the front of the three enhances the classic retro look given to the adiPURE IV football boots, while also adding an old-school authenticity.
The adiPURE IV's revert back to the symmetrical construction and central lacing with a shorter K-leather vamp for a great performance fit and fantastic ball feel. With 'OneTouch' construction the supple K-leather vamp is softer, more breathable and lighter than ever before. The new stitching pattern on the vamp supports the natural stretch of the K-Leather for the best fit possible, yet retains consistent performance properties in both wet and dry conditions.
To help reduce the risk of injury and the stress on the Achilles tendon the adiPURE's internal heel stabilizer offers maximum stability and protection, while the shallow external heel counter found on the adiPURE III is retained on the latest incarnation.
Built on the same last as the previous adiPURE so you can be sure of a consistent fit, the new adidas adiPURE IV football boots feature a lightweight and durable TPU soleplate. Available in a choice of SG or FG outsoles, both incorporating Traxion® technology for optimum grip and stud pressure distribution on all surfaces.
The new Black/Zero Metallic/Blue adidas adiPURE IV football boots will retail worldwide for around £120 GBP / $190 USD / €185 EURO, and are expected to be availble from early August.
