The leather White/Blue/Slime adiZero will sit alongside the adiZero Prime and synthetic standard adiZero to complete the all new collection of adidas' latest speed colourway. After the recent releases of two extravagant colourways, adidas have played the safer option of releasing a predominately white leather boot. No doubt this new colourway will be a big hit with pro's and adiZero fans.
With a countless list of pro's choosing to wear leather over synthetic, adidas continue to acknowledge the demand for leather speed boots. Besides Lionel Messi, other pro's that wear leather adiZero's include Arjen Robben, Emmanuel Adebayor, David Villa, David Silva and Karim Benzema. The new leather adiZero football boots have become a potent weapon for today's speed merchants who prefer a traditional upper.
Leather adiZero soccer shoes are a revolution in leather boot design. The adiZero leather football boots give adiZero fans the chance to experience a super lightweight boot with the benefit of a more traditional upper. As a leather speed boot weighing just 175g, the leather adiZero's are relatively unrivalled in the speed boot market.
The world's lightest leather football boot benefits from a new last unique to the F50 series. You'll notice a wider yet flatter foot-bed which means the studs can be position closer to the outside of the sole. This works to give greater stability to the boot which is an essential part of any speed boot.
The FG plate features the triangular Traxion studs bespoke to the adizero range, placed at strategic positions across the sole unit that aids pressure distribution and are designed to give improved directional grip. The SG plate takes the form of a mixed sole version, which substitutes 6 removable aluminium studs at the toe and heel. Both sole plates offer stability through a sleeker midfoot area that also goes to creating a snug fit.
The F50 adiZero adopts an asymmetric parallel lacing system which moves off-centre to create a greater, cleaner kicking surface. Also introduced is a new "Taperlace" system, intended to be much thinner and flatter to reduce any unnecessary material between the foot and the ball. The top of the lace area has also been made wider, so your tied laces won't get in the way as much! Even on this leather release, the lacing sits snug away across the top of the boot and over the extended tongue.
The new White/Blue/Slime adidas F50 leather adiZero football boots will retail worldwide for around £140 GBP/ $200 USD / €165 EURO. They will be available to pre-order this week prior to their official release early June.
