We continue our countdown of the Predator series, with the adidas Predator Pulse football boots launched on the tenth anniversary of the Predator in 2004. To celebrate the tenth anniversary, adidas set about creating the lightest, most accurate and powerful adidas Predator boots yet.
One of the main and innovative characteristics of the adidas Predator Pulse football boots was the added momentum at the point of contact with the ball. The Predator Pulse football boots were the first to feature the new PowerPulse technology.
The PowerPulse unit relocated 40 grams of the boots weight towards the front of the boot, therefore moving the centre of gravity closer to the point of impact. This increased the power of the kick, by enhancing the power transfer by 3% for every kick.
Despite focusing the boot more on power than swerve, the upper of the adidas Predator Pulse football boots was still complimented by the Predator rubber ribbing, although it was flattened and integrated more into the kangaroo leather.
The Traxion system of the Predator Pulse football boots was re-engineered, to allow players to click studs in and out with greater ease.
The adidas Predator Pulse football boots once again confirmed the Predator's status as the world’s premier football boot, by selling well over two million pairs in 2004 and 2005!
